The Cape Town Fashion Week is Africa's largest gathering of fashion designers from right across Southern Africa who will have the opportunity of showing off their creations on a world platform.
It has been recognised as one of the leading 'new world' fashion weeks and over its six years, it has been acclaimed by both international buyers and designers. Last year saw South Africa's trendiest brands exhibiting their wares on the catwalk and they included Craig Port, Gavin Rajah, Fabiani, Goat Clothing, Hip Hop, Love Water Love & Rosenwerth

Musiek Oppie Lande (MOL) - dates to be confirmed (August 2009)
The fourth edition of the biggest music festival in the Western Cape will kick off in the Swartland town of Malmesbury.
Leading Afrikaans musicians and entertainers have been roped in to ward of the winter chill and apart from the music there will be other activities too. A pleasurable early morning horse ride with a breakfast break, the 4x4 trail at Babylonstoren or wine tasting organised by the Swartland wineries all form part of the week-end's vibe.
There will be three dedicated music tents for the different age groups and musical genres and local food producers will be selling their tasty treats.

Out of the Box Festival of Puppetry & Visual Performance - dates to be confirmed
The festival, the largest of its kind in Africa, has shows for both adults and families over an eight day period, during the day and at night.
Venues range from the streets of Cape Town to the Waterfront with the Little Theatre Complex on Orange Street as the focal point of the Festival and local artists are interspersed with international acts. Apart from the performances there will be workshops, talks, a film festival at the Labia and exhibitions.
