Three Peaks Challenge – 1 November


The Three Peaks Challenge 2008The Three Peaks Challenge is one of the toughest endurance races in Africa, and is only for the fittest of athletes. The race will start at 5am at the Park Inn Hotel, Greenmarket Square. Participants will run all the way to the top of Devil’s Peak, back to the Square, up Platteklip Gorge to the top of Table Mountain, down again, over Kloof Nek and then race to the top of Lion’s Head. Clearly not for faint hearted!

The FNB Whisky Live Festival 5 – 7 November


The FNB Whisky Live Festival 2008The Whisky Festival is the world’s largest whisky consumer show. Run successfully for five years in the City of Cape Town, you can expect over 150 top international brands from Scotland, Ireland, USA, Japan, Canada and Wales. You can also make a reservation for a whisky tasting workshop over the weekend.

Picnic Festival at Dellrust Wine Estate –November (Dates to be confirmed)


The Picnic Festival is held at Dellrust Wine Farm, where you can taste great locally made white and red wines. Community talent will entertain you during the weekend and there will be plenty of arts and crafts too. Bring your own picnic chairs, umbrellas, utensils and baskets, excluding the food, or you can buy everything there! Please note that you may not bring your own alcohol to the festival, alcohol will be available at the venue.
