Exam Preparation

Eurocentres offers several Exam Preparation Courses in Cape Town, South Africa, designed to help students achieve success in most recognized English language ability exams, such as:

  • IELTS
  • TOEFL
  • Cambridge

The teachers at our Cape Town school are very well qualified to ensure that you are absolutely prepared for your English exams. Some of our teachers are examiners for the British Council in Cape Town. We will therefore be able to advise which examination is best suited for your needs.

Eurocentres English Exam Preparation courses consist of 30 lessons per week with 5 lessons self study in the learning centre.

International Language Testing System (IELTS)

IELTS is one of the best and most widely known English testing systems. It is available in two formats:

  1. Academic: particularly recommended if you are studying, or intend to study, at universities or colleges.
  2. General Training: ideal if you are, or will be doing, an apprenticeship.


Both formats are recognised by certain countries for immigration.

Cambridge Certificates

The First Certificate (FCE) is the best option for those looking for recognition of their language skills in the workplace. It is suited to Upper Intermediate students.

Eurocentres also offers training courses for the more difficult Advanced Certificate (CAE).

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

TOEFL is suitable for students who will be studying or looking for work in the United States. Eurocentres offers training courses for TOEFL subject to demand. Please contact us to register.

You may also take Private Lessons consisting of one-on-one tuition intensively focused on achieving success in TOEFL.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

Cost: EUR 74 per week

  • The minimum duration of the TOEFL preparation module is 2 weeks. The maximum duration is 4 weeks.
  • As the number of lessons per week is only 5, the module is to be booked together with our Basic course.
  • The Basic course will take place in the morning and the TOEFL course will take place in the afternoon.
  • The course is held for 4 or more participants.
