4 Day Cedarberg River Rafting:

DAY 1
You will be picked up at your Sea Point residence and taken to Saltycrax Backpackers, a 4 star hostel close to the beach in the Blouberg area. You will enjoy a traditional BBQ in the thatch-roofed boma and have an opportunity to meet the other guests and staff.

DAY 2
After a full English breakfast you meet the qualified guides who will take you down the river. We then head up the West Coast towards the rugged Cedarburg mountains. You will have most of the afternoon to relax along the river that has carved its way through the towering mountains.

At night you will dine on a traditional South African stew called a potjie and relax around the campfire - the perfect way to freshen up before the thrill of the rafting.

DAY 3
Your long-awaited river adventure gets under way before 8a.m. Together with your equipment you will be transported to the starting point in a 4x4 truck. Qualified river guides will instruct you on the basics and safety procedures of river rafting.

From there the group, under guidance of the river guides will continue with the flow of the river and rush of the rapids till nightfall. Tents will be pitched, stories exchanged around the campfire and a scrumptious meal prepared by our guides underneath the stars.

DAY 4
There’s more of that free-wheeling-fancy-feeling on the river, with stops for lunch and refreshments along the way. Unfortunately, like all good things, it comes to an end sometime between 8p.m. and 9p.m when you'll be collected and safely returned to Saltycrax Backpackers.
