English & Garden Route Special Offer
Take a two week English course at Eurocentres Cape Town with accommodation included, then take a two week trip down the magnificent Garden Route.
Eurocentres Cape Town Information:
On the first day of your English course at Eurocentres Cape Town you will be given a test to determine your language skills. Based on the results of this test you will be placed in the corresponding level with other people who have similar language skills to yours.
During your Basic, Intensive or Super-Intensive English courses in Cape Town, you will also be taken on excursions to local places of interest to learn more about our country's culture.
General English Courses in Cape Town start every Monday at Eurocentres.
2 Weeks Eurocentres General English Course:
• Monday to Friday 08:30am – 12:15pm

2 Weeks Accommodation:
• Accommodation situated in a student residence in the central, seaside suburb of Sea Point

2 Week Garden Route Tour:
DAY 1
You are taken to the SaltyCrax Backpackers in Table View. The hostel is within walking distance from all bars, restaurants, the beach, shops and transport terminals. Table View is famous for kitesurfing, water sports and its amazing views of Table Mountain from Kite Beach. In the evening you will meet the staff and other guests. A traditional South African stew potjie (stew) is cooked on the fire. You will spend the night in 4 star accommodation..
DAY 2
After breakfast your friendly local guide will give you a brief lesson on using Cape Town’s public transport and will accompany you by bus to the Cape Town city centre. You have the following options:
- Footsteps to Freedom Walking Tour: A three hour walking tour that visits historical sites and African craft markets.
- Hop-on hop-off Topless Bus Tour: The tour takes you around the city centre, the V&A Waterfront and past Clifton and Camps Bay beaches.
Later, take the cable car up Table Mountain (own expense).
DAY 3
Today you will explore the splendour of the Cape Peninsula on a Cape Point Tour. The tour follows the Atlantic Seaboard, past Clifton & Camps Bay to the fishing hamlet of Hout Bay. A cruise to Duiker Island to see the colony of Cape Fur Seals is optional. Continue along the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive to Boulders Beach to meet a colony of rare Jackass Penguins (own expense).
At the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve you can cycle through the reserve. You stop for a picnic lunch before climbing to the lighthouse. After taking in the amazing views you slowly head back to Table View past the white beaches of Kommetjie and Scarborough.
DAY 4
The Wine Route tour is mellow and involves no exercise - other than lifting your wine glass. You will visit three regions of the Cape Winelands: Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, with a tasting in each region, a cellar tour at one of the farms and a picnic lunch. The wine farms offer a variety of white and red cultivars, as well as their own blends & styles. We allow enough time for each tasting to fully appreciate and enjoy the wine master’s art.
DAY 5
Add a bit of adventure into your life. You can spend the day relaxing on the beach or you have the choice of one of the following activities (own expense):
- Skydiving
- Big 5 Safari
- Shark cage diving
- Sandboarding and surfing combo
After your adventurous day you will arrive back at the backpackers for a traditional Braai (BBQ) and a chance to share your stories from the past few days. Then venture off to explore Table View nightlife.
DAY 6
We leave Cape Town and head along the stunning R44 route overlooking False Bay to Hermanus on the whale route. After a picnic lunch on the seafront, we continue to Birkenhead Brewery to sample some fine beers before moving on to the southernmost tip of Africa in Cape Agulhas National Park.
After a visit to the lookout point we make our way to the harbour where there is an option to go on an exciting ski-boat cruise to search for dolphin and whales (June to December). After our cruise we take a walk back to our accommodation along “Die Plaat”, the longest beach in the Southern Hemisphere.
DAY 7
Our journey takes us inland and north through the Little Karoo. We stop at Warmwaterberg Spa for lunch and a swim in 43°C natural hot springs.
In the afternoon we drive along Route 62 to Oudtshoorn. There is an option to view and ride on an ostrich on a working farm or go on a guided tour of the Cango Endangered Wildlife Ranch for an opportunity to pet cheetah, cage dive with crocodiles and view many rare and endangered animal species.
DAY 8
We begin the day with a visit to the Cango Caves for a 1-hour guided tour of the cave system. Thereafter, we leave the Karoo and travel along the Outeniqua Pass to the Garden Route and our destination, Knysna. We’ll take a walk to the entrance of the Knysna lagoon to explore the captivating scenery surrounding the famous Knysna Heads.
In the afternoon we drive to the highest road bridge in Africa at Bloukrans Bridge. With a freefall of over 216m this is also the site of the highest bungi jump in the world! For those wishing to take the leap, this is your chance!!
DAY 9
After breakfast and a visit to the exciting Zip-line tour at Tsitsikamma Falls Adventures, we continue up the coast to Jeffrey’s Bay, home of some of the best surfing spots. We’ll take time out to view the waves at “supertubes” before exploring the town and visiting the surf wear factory shops i.e.: Billabong, Roxy and more…
After Jeffrey’s Bay, we make our way inland towards Addo and our accommodation for a night in the Sundays River Valley. We will have time to relax and explore the river by canoe. The evening will be spent around the campfire.
DAY 10
After an early morning safari and lunch, we will take a leisurely drive down to the coast and Port Elizabeth. In the early evening we take a walk along the Waterfront before enjoying a meal at the Boardwalk.
DAY 11
We begin our relaxing journey back to Cape Town. We stop at the Crags Elephant Sanctuary for an opportunity to walk, feed and ride an elephant. You will be instructed by a guide.
We then continue towards Wilderness and arrive in the late afternoon. You have the option of canoeing along the estuary and other exciting outdoor activities on offer. We drink a toast to our shared adventures around a roaring fire.
DAY 12
This morning we visit an Aloe factory in Albertinia. After lunch on the road and a scenic drive via Swellendam and Sir Lowry’s Pass, we arrive back in Cape Town on Saturday afternoon.
